he was transferred from the Anglo-Indian School about five years. He knew that there was money to be made in the post and undoubtedly there was money to be made then by way of supplying copies of documents to Solicitors and others from the Registry with the permission of the Government. He aduits he went to see Mr. Seth in 1909, when it was rumoured that I was going to be made a 2nd. Grade Clerk. He again went to see lir. Wakeman, the Acting Registrar, when it was again rumoured that I was going to be promoted. Last year when it was rumoured that I was going on promo- -tion to the Attorney-General's office he put in his application formally for his transfer to my post and lar. lesser the Postmaster General recommended that he was a very good clerk and did not know why he wanted to be transferred. Mohamed Ackber admitted that he made money in my post without proper authority and had been making it when the 'nglo-Indian School and in te Post Office Money Order Department by other means). It was the ambition as you su would see of Mohamed Ackber to get my post in the Registry and would have got it now even if he would not have been transferred

Commissioner would have written to say that he has received the
advice but not the Loney Order and my having the two receipts in
my possession issued to me by liohamed Ackber what would have been
the latter's position in the matter would he not have got into
trouble himself instead of putting me in trouble? I would submit
that Lohamed Ackber's position in that case would have been no more than mine assuming that the receipts were forged receipts Would he admit that they were issued by him, if forged. It was
